These needles are much stronger than other brands and will NOT break as easily if used correctly.
Gold 32 gauge 2x2x2 barbs
Silver 40 gauge 2x2x2 barbs
I find the coarser needle ( gold) is good for pulling out coarser fibres like hair (as you might expect), and the finer needle (silver) makes more of a fuzz with the finer fibre types. It is a somewhat different motion as, unlike the regular needles, the resistance is noticed on the withdrawal of the needle, because this as when it is doing the work.
